Develop a Research Proposal

Develop a well-structured and comprehensive Research Proposal organized into 3 essential chapters, covering the introduction, literature review, and research methodology.

With the close support of your research supervisor, you will be guided through every stage of the proposal development process. This ensures that your proposal meets international academic standards, addresses key research questions, and establishes a strong foundation for your doctoral dissertation. The personalized guidance provided by your supervisor helps refine your research focus, improve your methodology, and enhance the overall quality of your proposal.

Defend Your Research Proposal

Present and defend your Research Proposal before the academic committee of Asia Metropolitan University (AMU). This critical step allows you to demonstrate your understanding of the research topic, justify your methodology, and showcase the significance of your study. The defense provides an opportunity to receive valuable feedback, refine your proposal, and ensure that your research meets the required academic standards before proceeding with your dissertation.

Develop a complete dissertation

Focus on completing Chapters 4 and 5 of your dissertation to develop a fully refined and comprehensive doctoral thesis. These final chapters typically involve analyzing research findings, discussing their implications, and drawing conclusions that align with your research objectives. Successfully completing these chapters ensures that your thesis meets academic standards and is ready for submission and defense.

Attend a minimum of 2 Colloquiums

Engage in a minimum of 2 Colloquiums to enhance your knowledge, stay updated on the latest research trends, and strengthen your academic network. These sessions provide a platform for exchanging ideas, receiving constructive feedback, and refining your research approach, ultimately contributing to the success of your doctoral journey.

Defend the Dissertation

Present and defend your dissertation before the academic committee to demonstrate your research expertise, justify your findings, and validate the significance of your study. Research Supervisor
According to numerous studies, one of the most significant challenges faced by doctoral students is the lack of a guiding faculty member to accompany, support, and advise them throughout their research period. Furthermore, 80% of doctoral students who fail to graduate on time or are forced to abandon their programs halfway do so because of this issue.

Understanding this, SIMI Swiss and AMU have implemented a program with dedicated research mentors to support and guide students throughout their research development phase, following the completion of their proposal through various courses.

Although instructors are not directly involved in conducting student research, their support and experience are still important. This helps ensure that students have a solid foundation to complete research quality and on time, while also facilitating publication of research work in prestigious journals such as ISI /SCOPUS (Option only).

Apostille

Notary Public and Apostille for SIMI Qualifications in Switzerland

In Switzerland, a Notary Public can certify copies of academic degrees and diplomas by verifying their authenticity and confirming that they match the original document. This notarized certification is often required for legal, academic, or professional purposes, such as further studies, job applications, or immigration procedures.

For international use, a notarized degree may also require an Apostille from the relevant Swiss authority (usually the cantonal State Chancellery) to ensure its recognition in countries that are part of the Hague Apostille Convention.

  • See Sample of Apostille from the relevant Swiss authority [HERE]
